CLIMBING MASTER CLASSES
WITH NIALL McNAIR & ALAN CASSIDAY
SATURDAY & SUNDAY: 10AM & 2PM

Get active at the EMFF and hone your climbing skills under the guidance of two of the Scotland's leading climbers, Niall McNair and Alan Cassiday.

Climbing Master Classes will be staged at Alien Rock 2 on Saturday and Sunday at 10am and 2pm each day.

The morning sessions are suitable for lower grade climbers age 12+ wishing to learn to improve their technique and movement skills. The afternoon sessions are aimed at more advanced climbers (i.e. > fr6c).

Places cost £30 per person and are strictly limited to 8 climbers per session. This includes entry to Alien Rock 2. Climbers just need to bring shoes and a chalk bag. Reserve your place at Alien Rock or Alien Rock 2 by calling them on 0131 552 7211.

All climbing will be bouldering based using a mixture of pre-set problems set by the coaches and new problems set during the session, supervised by coaches.

There will be a maximum of 8 clients per session, split into 2 groups, maintaining a 1:4 ratio.
Each session lasts a total of 3 hours. Climbers spend 1.5 hours with Alan and the same again with Niall.

The sessions will tackle the fundamental concepts of efficient climbing at a basic, accessible level with additional help with building training sessions independently to provide a framework for climbers to practice the skills in their everyday climbing.
