SATURDAY NIGHT EXTREME - SHOW STARTS 7PM
(ends approx 10pm - then it's time for the EMFF Party!)

Have an extreme Saturday night with the EMFF! The lively session includes the most extreme action covering all mountain sports. It is then followed by an inspiring lecture before we head across the road to the EMFF Party!

Speleoski (6 mins)
Where do you go to find snow in the summer? Underground! Why let a terrifying free-abseil into a pitch black abyss get between you and some parallel turns!

The Longest Way (6 mins)
Christoph studied languages and cinematography in Beijing. After his exams, he decided to walk home but, as he lived in Germany, the walk home took a year. He also decided not to shave or have a haircut until he was home!

Shoulders of Giants (13 mins)
From skiing graded ice-climbs to jumping over startled sheep, this Scottish ski film follows some backcountry skiers revelling in the magnificent snow conditions of the past two winters.

Alex Honnold is taking free-soloing to the next level. With no ropes or protection of any sort, he ventures to Yosemite and gazes up at the 2,000 ft high cliffs of Half Dome. Then, leaving his ropes behind, he starts climbing…

Lecture: Karina Hollekim
Fighting Back

Karina Hollekim has appeared in several BASE-jumping films screened at the EMFF over the past few years. The film '20 Seconds of Joy' charted her life up to the point when she had a life-threatening accident. Click here to see film trailer.
