PROFILE : IAN PARNELL
Stories from the Front Line

The Climber's Session

Well known for his lightweight alpine style approach his standout ascents, Ian Parnell is recognized as one of the UK's leading mountaineers. Recent ascents include the Arwa Spire in Nepal, the first ascent of the SW Ridge of Annapurna III (7555m) and numerous top-level climbs in Alaska, Patagonia and Greenland.

Ian is also an accomplished photographer and film-maker.His recent film-making exploits include summiting Everest and climbing the North Face of the Eiger with Sir Ranulph Fiennes on his charity raising expeditions.







With an innovative mix of film and photography, Ian's presentation will bring to life his tales from the front line of British mountaineering. Describing his recent trips to India and Patagonia, we can expect stunning images, lots of laughs and some of the wildest climbing around.
