


The Festival is currently seeking exciting, unusual
and intriguing new films for the 2006 event.
Photographers are also encouraged to enter our photography competitions.

MOUNTAIN PHOTOGRAPHY, PAINTING &
POETRY

The 4th EMFF will see the most colourful, striking
and wide-ranging exhibitions in the history of the festival, showcasing
the very best mountain photography, art and poetry in a month long exhibition.
The exhibitions will be staged at Edinburgh Fine Art Library, which
is part of the Edinburgh Central Library on George IV Bridge.
Located just 5 minutes walk from the George Square Lecture Theatre,
the venue is open Monday to Saturday and has free entry at all times,
making it accessible to everyone.

The 2006 exhibition will consist of:
- Climbing Photography by Gary Latter, whose work is often seen
in the leading climbing magazines
- Mountain art by Phyllis Fenton, with striking images of many
famous peaks
- The best photographs from the EMFF's photography competition
- Poetry by members of the John Muir Trust & the Mountaineering
Council for Scotland.
